Security Menu

Forest Products Accounting allows for two types of security.  The first type of security is Company Sign-On security and is required.  In order to access the system, you must sign-on with a valid user code and password.  When you have successfully signed on, you have access to all applications and functions in the system.  If you have a network version of the system, each user must be assigned a unique user code.  

 

The second type of security is optional and requires the creation of Security Groups.   The first level of security within Security Groups is access or no access to applications in the system.  The second level of security within the Security Groups is access or no access to menu options within the applications.  Once a security group has been created, the assignment of a security group to each user is required except for the security administrator.

 

One user must be designated as the security administrator for the company.  Access to the Users and Security Groups is limited to the security administrator.  

 

To access the Security Menu, select the menu option entitled Security on the System Manager Menu.

To run a User Listing, select the menu option entitled User Listing on the Security menu.

 

To run a Group Listing, select the menu option entitled Group Listing on the Security menu.
