Tract Destinations/Products Tab

The Destinations/Products tab is used to assign destinations to the tract and select what products will be delivered to each destination.  You can assign an unlimited number of destinations to each tract.

 

To access the Destinations/Products tab, click on the Destinations/Products tab, or press “Alt N”.

 

The Destinations/Products list window, will be displayed as follows:

 

To save and exit the Tract window, press Page Down, click on the OK button, or press “Alt O”.   To exit without saving the Tract window, click on the Cancel button, press “Alt C”, press Esc, or click on the “X” in the upper right corner of the screen.

 

To access online help, click on the Help button, press “Alt H”, or press F1.

 

Destination Maintenance

To add a new Destination, click on the Add button, press “Alt A”, or press the Insert key.

 

To edit an existing Destination, highlight the desired Destination, and click on the Edit button, press “Alt E”, or press Enter.

 

To delete an existing Destination, highlight the desired Destination and click on the Delete button, press “Alt D”, or press Delete.

 

The Destination maintenance window is displayed as follows:

 

Enter or edit the information on the Destination window according to the following specifications:

 

Code

Enter the destination code, or press Enter, or click on the Lookup button to display a selection list of the valid destination codes.

 

Miles

If applicable, enter the number of miles the destination is located from the tract.  The number of miles would be applicable if you are paying a producer (hauler) with a mile rate table.  An entry in this field is optional.

 

Rate Code

If applicable, enter the rate master code, or press Enter, or click on the Lookup button to display a selection list of the valid rate codes.  The rate master contains predefined rates for the destination, producer and owner.  It can contain rates for all three, or any one, or any two of the three.  An entry in this field is optional.

 

Cut and Haul

Enter a check in the box if the tract is a cut and haul tract.  A cut and haul tract in one in which the producer is logging for the company that owns the tract and no stumpage would be paid on loads going to the destination.  If the tract is not a cut and haul tract, leave the box unchecked.  To enter a check in the box, click on the Cut and Haul box, press “Alt U”, or press the Space Bar when the selection box is positioned over the Cut and Haul field.

To save and exit the Destination window, press Page Down, click on the OK button, or press “Alt O”.   To exit without saving the Destination window, click on the Cancel button, press “Alt C”, press Esc, or click on the “X” in the upper right corner of the screen.

After assigning the destination to the tract, the next step is select what products from the tract will be delivered to the destination.

 

Edit Products

To access the assigned products, click on the Edit Products button located on the Destination list window, or press “Alt U”.  The system defaults the products to those assigned to the destination in file maintenance.

 

The Assigned Product window will be displayed as follows:

 

Delete All Products

To delete all products off of the Assigned Products list window, click on the Delete All Products button.

 

Cycle Box

To remain in the add mode without returning to the Assigned Products list window each time you add a new Product, check the cycle box.  To enter a check in the box, click on the Cycle box, press “Alt Y”, or press the Space Bar when the selection box is positioned over the “cycle” field.  You would normally check the cycle box if you are entering more than one Product during the current session.

 

To exit the Assigned Products list window, click on the Close button, press “Alt O”, or press the Esc key.

 

To access online help, click on the Help button, press “Alt H”, or press F1.

 

Product Maintenance

To add a new product, click on the Add button, press “Alt A”, or press the Insert key.

 

To edit an existing product, highlight the desired record and click on the Edit button, press “Alt E”, or press Enter.  

 

To delete a product, highlight the desired record and click on the Delete button, press “Alt D”, or press the Delete key.

 

When you add or edit a product, the system will display the Product window as follows:

 

Enter or edit the information on the Product window according to the following specifications:

 

Product Code

Enter the product code, or press Enter, or click on the Lookup button to display a selection list of the valid product codes.  The selection list defaults to the products assigned to the destination in file maintenance.  If the product you want to select does not display on the selection list, you must go to File Maintenance – Destinations and add the product.

 

Stick Scale Table

Enter the stick scale table, or press Enter, or click on the Lookup button to display a selection list of the valid stick scale tables.  If a stick scale table was assigned to the product in the product file, the system defaults to that stick scale table.  An entry in this field is optional.

 

Require Number of Logs on Ticket?

Enter a check in the box if the number of logs is required during ticket entry. If the require number of logs box was checked on the product in the product file, the system defaults to checking the box.  If the number of logs is not required, leave the box unchecked.  To enter a check in the box, click on the Require Number of Logs on Ticket? box, press “Alt R”, or press the Space Bar when the selection box is positioned over the Require Number of Logs on Ticket? field.
