Producer Expiration Types

The Fiber System provides you a simple, yet comprehensive, means of recording and reporting pertinent insurance information on producers and equipment including the policy expiration date.   Examples of Producer Expirations are shown below:

Automobile

General Liability

Worker’s Compensation

Master Logger Certification

 

To access the Producer Expiration Types list window, select the menu option entitled Producer Expiration Types on the Fiber Procurement Control Files Menu.

 

The Producer Expiration Types list window, will be displayed as follows:

 

The system defaults to displaying only the active Producer Expiration Types.  To display the inactive, or both the active and inactive Producer Expiration Types, click on the drop-down box arrow located at the upper right corner of the window.

 

Cycle Box

To remain in the add mode without returning to the Producer Expiration Types list window each time you add a new Producer Expiration Type, check the cycle box.  To enter a check in the box, click on the Cycle box, press “Alt Y”, or press the Space Bar when the selection box is positioned over the “cycle” field.  You would normally check the cycle box if you are entering more than one Producer Expiration Type during the current session.

 

To access online help, click on the Help button, press “Alt H”, or F1.

 

To exit the Producer Expiration Types list , click on Close button, press “Alt O”, or press the Esc key.

 

Producer Expiration Types Maintenance

To add a new Producer Expiration Types, click on the Add button, press “Alt A”, or press the Insert key.

 

To edit an existing Producer Expiration Types, highlight the desired record and click on the Edit button, press “Alt E”, or press Enter.  

 

When you add a new Producer Expiration Type, the system will display the Producer Expiration Type Information window as follows:

 

Enter or edit the information on the Insurance window according to the following specifications:

 

Code

The code is a three-character field used to identify the Producer Expiration Type within the system.   You are not allowed to enter duplicate Producer Expiration Types.  

 

Description

Enter up to thirty-characters to describe the Producer Expiration Type.

 

Non-Insurance

Enter a check in the box if the expiration being added is not insurance.  Non-Insurance examples would be SFI, Master Logger, etc.  If the expiration being added is insurance, leave the box unchecked.  To enter a check in the box, click on the Non-Insurance box, or press the Space Bar when the selection box is positioned over the Non-Insurance field.

 

Status

Select the active box if the Producer Expiration Type is active, or select the inactive box if the Producer Expiration Type is not active.  The system defaults to displaying only the active Producer Expiration Types on the selection list.

 

To access online help, click on the Help button, press “Alt H”, or F1.

 

To save and exit the Insurance window, press Page Down, click on the OK button, or press “Alt O”.   To exit without saving the Insurance window, click on the Cancel button, press “Alt C”, press Esc, or click on the “X” in the upper right corner of the screen.  You must save this window before attempting to define the insurance types.  If so, click on the “Types” button to enter/edit the insurance types information.  Examples of Insurance Types are shown below:

To enter or edit the Types information, click the Types button, or press “Alt T”.

Insurance Types Maintenance

To add a new Insurance Type, click on the Add button, press “Alt A”, or press the Insert key.

 

To edit an existing Insurance Type, highlight the desired record and click on the Edit button, press “Alt E”, or press Enter.

Code

The code is a three-character field used to identify the Insurance Type within the system.   You are not allowed to enter duplicate Insurance Types.  

 

Description

Enter up to thirty-characters to describe the Insurance Type.

 

Limit

Enter the liability limit (the maximum coverage available) for the insurance type.  This figure is to be entered in whole dollars (no decimal positions.  For some insurance types, such as Workman's Compensation, a liability limit is not applicable.  In such instances, leave the default liability limit field blank.

 

Status

Select the active box if the Insurance Type is active, or select the inactive box if the Insurance Type is inactive. The system defaults to displaying only the active Insurance Types on the selection list.

 

To save and exit the Insurance Types window, press Page Down, click on the OK button, or press “Alt O”.   To exit without saving the Insurance Types window, click on the Cancel button, press “Alt C”, press Esc, or click on the “X” in the upper right corner of the screen.
