The Fiber System allows you to define an unlimited number of user-defined Units of Measure.
Examples of Units of Measure codes are as follows:
MBF Board Feet
CD Cords
MS Miscellaneous
PCS Piece
TN Tons
NOTE: Although the code "LB" for pounds is not valid in the unit of measure maintenance, it is a valid unit of measure during ticket entry. "LB" is reserved by the system to identify the total weight of a load.
NOTE: When entering a ticket with stick scale volume, please enter a “SS” in the volume field.
To access the Units of Measure file, select the menu option entitled units of measure on the Fiber Procurement Control Files Menu.
The Units of Measure window will be displayed as follows:
The system defaults to displaying only the active Units of Measure. To display the inactive, or both the active and inactive Units of Measure, click on the drop-down box arrow located at the upper right corner of the window.
